Superb castle, 1 of the 4 top monuments of Brabant, completely furnished. Gives a clear picture of life back then. Beautiful outbuilding with drinking establishment.

Despite the dreary weather, it was fun to visit the castle. We did so using an audio tour. Fine at your own pace. Afterwards we enjoyed a delicious lunch in brasserie De Barones. I can't remember ever being served so quickly anywhere.

Heeswijk Castle is a magnificent castle. Especially with these winter months it is beautiful to see. There are several beautiful hiking trails running from here and on your return you can enjoy a nice pea soup with rye bread in the restaurant.

Super beautiful restored castle. Definitely worth buying a ticket to see the inside of the castle as well. At the adjacent terrace you can have a great lunch.
