The Story Cauldron – Duna the Poop Catcher
Duna is an orphan girl. She was born in Rode, which is now called Sint Oedenrode. One day, Duna asks if she can become the cook’s assistant. She’s allowed to, but she has to start at the very “bottom”: as a poop catcher. The poop catcher has to do all sorts of unpleasant chores, like sweeping the chimney and …….catching poop. The castle doesn’t have a toilet. When important guests are staying over and really need to go, Duna goes upstairs with a chamber pot.

She’s having a great time at the castle. Until she gets some bad news. A carrier pigeon brings word that Maarten van Rossum plans to burn down the church and the houses in Rode. Duna is terrified; she thinks of her friends there. She won’t let that happen. She has a vivid imagination and she isn’t afraid. Duna the Poop Catcher has a plan to chase that sneaky Van Rossum away. She comes up with a special secret weapon—it has to do with poop and pee, because Van Rossum can’t stand that stuff. Will she succeed? Come see and hear for yourself!
